From 2000-2002, Lauriann wrote a popular column in Massage Magazine called "Helping the Healers." She has also spoken at the AMTA Conference, IECSC, and World Massage Conference, among others. In 2006, Lauriann and ergonomist/LMT Richard W. Goggins worked with ABMP to produce the first reliable statistics on injury among massage therapists and bodyworkers. Save Your Hands! The Complete Guide to Injury Prevention and Ergonomics for Manual Therapists, Second Edition, was published in 2008 with Rick Goggins contributing important content on ergonomics for manual therapists. The two also wrote a chapter on injury prevention for Fundamentals of Massage, a popular Australian textbook. Lauriann went on to receive formal ergonomics training at that time.

Lauriann is proud that her extensively revised, updated, and expanded Third Edition was published in Fall 2025. In addition to the book, Save Your Hands! offers a range of injury prevention and ergonomics consulting and educational services to therapists, manual therapy schools, clinics and spas.
